jQuery UI & Accordion: Displaying Collapsible Content Panels

This entry is part 1 of 7 in the series jQuery UI Accordion

jQuery UI Accordion – Default functionality

Click headers to expand/collapse content that is broken into logical sections, much like tabs. Optionally, toggle sections open/closed on mouseover.

The underlying HTML markup is a series of headers (H3 tags) and content divs so the content is usable without JavaScript.

As you can see, it is quite easy to work out an Accordion as it is mostly defined by HTML markups.

jQuery UI & Accordion: Customize Icons

This entry is part 5 of 7 in the series jQuery UI Accordion

jQuery UI Accordion – Customize icons

Customize the header icons with the icons option, which accepts classes for the header’s default and active (open) state.

Use any class from the UI CSS framework, or create custom classes with background images.
